Welcome to The Gallery

The Gallery is home to all my work, you will find pieces from a number of different disciplines. To look at all the work for a specific discipline, just click on the image stack. Along with the images is a short description of the work waiting within.

Graphite Drawings

My graphite drawings can take as long as 100 hours to complete, this is a result of painstaking attention to detail. Whenever I start a drawing it is always my aim to achieve photorealism, this strive for perfection is the reason I have continued to draw, as in my opinion I have not reached it yet.

All my drawings have been produced on WH Smith paper using mechanical pencils, with a combination of different lead grades and thicknesses. These range from 0.3mm to 0.7mm and F to 4B. To achieve pure blackness, I use a Staedtler Mars Lumograph 8B pencil.

Dassault Systèmes' CATIA

Whilst at university studying Virtual Engineering, the program of choice, to produce all engineering designs, was Dassault Systèmes' CATIA, specifically V5 R16 and R18.

Due to the diversity of the projects at university I have ended up with a broad range of modelling ability in CATIA; from LEGO to Hair Straighteners, and from simple 1 or 2 part assemblies to those with over 540 pieces.

Adobe Photoshop

I initially learnt Adobe Photoshop to further my skills in 3D Modelling with Cinema4D, creating textures etc, but since then it has become useful for all sorts of applications.

My knowledge of Photoshop was all self-taught until I decided to take an 'Ad+vantage' course at university. Most of it was basic knowledge already acquired, but a lot of quick tips and new features were discovered, one of particular merit was photo retouching.

Majority of the work in this area is concept art for design projects undergone at university, but there are some pieces just for fun, like the car 'shops.

Photography

I've always liked taking photographs, however, I'm definitely no expert this is purely a hobby. I like to think I take a fairly good photo though, here are a collection of my favourite ones. All photos taken with a Fujifilm point and shoot digital camera.
